Photo Journalism

in this picture, you cannot learn very much without the picture below it. this picture is a frame of the stairs going into the Wills store, the right one. this tells me that these buildings were built almost exactly two hundred years ago. now the pavement has been warn away and cracked from all the weather and wear over the past two centuries.

for this assignment i went into the town of Chelsea, Vermont and decided to take pictures of  old classic Vermonters. when i saw this frame i couldn't resist to take a picture. this frame includes twin buildings. on the left is the Chelsea country store and on the right is Wills store. in the back ground are the hills that surround the town of Chelsea. these two stores are where the kids from the school across the street go after class. its also where all the old men that have lived in Chelsea all their life. this is a classic seen from Vermont.

what is present, but isnt present

when i woke up i walked out of my room to this picture. i picked up my camera not thinking about it. now i think about this frame and reconsider it. you can obviously see its in the morning somewhere. but where? what does the front of the persons face look like. are we in Vermont? or Denmark? and the flowers are they real?

What are you selling, really.

while in the midst of photography class, i was messing around with my water bottle. i started to take pictures of my water bottle then turned the camera and the water bottle upside down and place the bottle on the underside of the table so the Gatorade went to the top. i guess the slogan for this advertisement is that nalgene is always half full instead of half empty.

even though i was not supposed to, i set up my try pod and took some footage of sledding on grass. after i made a movie i took a snap shot of a fade from one shot to the next. in this picture i am advertising mad river rocket

Just a Pretty Picture.

As i walked out into my garden on a grey, rainy day i wanted to find something sunny. I found a couple sun flowers and was trying to find a nice frame when a bumble bee came and landed right in the center on the flower. I was astonished by the flowing pedals. i took the picture.

The same day i took the bee picture i took this one. i had been walking for about two hours and taking pictures on my way. i had not moved my self to get a good frame and i was a little disappointed. when i saw the ash tree and the white birch i new i had to get a good contrast between the two.
